China Bans WoW Gold Farming & All Virtual Currencies PDF Print E-mail

 The Chinese government stepped up and decided to ban all World  of Warcraft gold  farming and all other MMORPGs that has a currency  exchange.
 
 Even the developers themselves are not permitted to exchange  ingame assets for real  goods and services.
 
 
The Ministry of Commerce issued a press release yesterday stating:
 
“The virtual currency, which is converted into real money at a certain exchange rate, will only be allowed to trade in virtual goods and services provided by its issuer, not real goods and services.” 
 
 The Chinese government estimates virtual currency exceeded several billion yuan last year and growing 20% annually. One billian yuan is roughly $146 million. There are approximately 300 million internet users who are participating gold farming for a variety of games.

Swedish software firm agrees to buy Pirate Bay, Go Legal PDF Print E-mail

Swedish software company
Global Gaming Factory X AB said on Tuesday it had agreed to buy file-sharing website The Pirate Bay for 60 million Swedish crowns ($7.7 million).

The Pirate Bay requires a new business model, which satisfies the requirements and needs of all parties, content providers, broadband operators, end users, and the judiciary. Content creators and providers need to control their content and get paid for it. File sharers' need faster downloads and better quality" continues Hans Pandeya.

Over the past couple of weeks the BestGN development team have been working hard on a new server monitor for the website. After many hours of work it has been completed and deployed for everyone to use.

The newest features include:

Moveable Game Modules – You can now drag and drop your favourite game servers to the top of the list. The monitor will remember your layout next time you visit!

Advanced Server View – Users can now view advanced information on each of our servers such as current players, server usage in the last 24 hours and the top 10 players on each server.

You can view the monitor by clicking the servers button in the top menu.
